The Verified badge
What Verified means
Verified means Marine Match has checked this business's public liability insurance, identity (Companies House or photo ID) and trade qualifications for the services they list. Surveyors must also hold professional indemnity insurance. The badge comes off automatically if insurance expires or a check fails. Only Verified professionals can stamp a Boat Passport.
Professionals who are approved but not yet Verified can still quote for and carry out jobs. They cannot stamp or check a Boat Passport entry until every check is complete.
Each passport entry made by a Verified professional carries a declaration: either that they carried out the work (Stamped), or that they inspected it and did not carry it out (Checked).
