You need to be trading as a marine business or sole trader with your own public liability insurance. We check the insurance schedule is in date and the cover level is appropriate for the work you offer.

What qualifications do I need?

There is no single required ticket, but you must be able to evidence competence for the trades you list — manufacturer training, recognised marine qualifications, or a solid track record backed by two yard or customer references we can call.

How long does approval take?

Most applications are decided within a few working days of your documents and references arriving. You can check progress at any time on the application status page.

When do I get paid?

Payment is held securely from the moment a job is booked and released to your Stripe account after the owner confirms the work is complete, with automatic release seven days after completion if nothing is disputed.
