The first 200 founding professionals approved before 31 March 2027 pay 5% commission for six months from the date their listing is approved, then the standard 8%, unless agreed otherwise in writing.
Free to post. A 3% booking fee is added at checkout when the owner accepts a quote. It is paid by the boat owner and does not come out of your payout.
No sign-up fee, no monthly fee, no charge for sending quotes. You only ever pay commission on booked, completed work.
Success-based fee
No sign-up, monthly or lead fees. We take 8% of the job value (5% for your first six months (founding professionals, first 200 or until 31 March 2027)) only when a job is completed and paid. The 3% customer booking fee is paid by the owner — your payout is unchanged.
A booked winter
Owners get seasonal reminders for winterisation and antifoul — your quiet months fill up.
Verified badge
Insurance, ID and qualifications checked by our team before Verified Pro status is granted. Approved pros can download the badge for letterheads, invoices, websites and vehicles.
How verification works
Verified Pro status is earned, not bought.
Before any professional appears with the Verified Pro badge, our team checks every required item below. Nothing goes live until they all pass.
Public liability insurance
Your public liability certificate, in date.
Photo ID or Companies House
Limited company: we match your name against the Companies House officer list. Sole trader or partnership: a photo of your driving licence or passport, uploaded from your portal.
Trade qualifications
Manufacturer tickets, trade certificates or accreditations for every service you're listed under. No formal qualification for this trade? Photos of prior work plus a short statement are accepted instead.
Professional indemnity insurancefor some trades
For some trades (surveys): your professional indemnity certificate, in date.
Two referencesafter your badge is live
Two yards or long-standing customers. We'll ask for these after your badge is live. Confidential, never shown publicly, and they don't hold up the badge.
Once approved, Verified Pros can download the official Marine Match badge artwork from the brand kit and use it on letterheads, invoices, your website and vehicles.
